Enter the code shown on your ice maker display

Is it safe to keep using it?

Depends on code severity. Low/Medium codes often allow continued use, High severity requires immediate stop.

Can error codes be reset?

Some codes clear after power cycle. Persistent codes indicate underlying issues needing repair.

When should I stop using it?

Stop immediately for water leak codes, burning smell, or any High severity error.

Low Medium High
Code Meaning Severity Common Symptom
CL Cleaning Cycle Needed Low A dedicated Clean LED or CL text message appears on the control display, usually alongside normal temperature information, as a persistent reminder. View CP Compressor Fault High The usual steady compressor hum is completely absent. The cabinet is not getting cold and existing ice is beginning to melt. View DR Drain Problem Medium A pool of water has accumulated in the bottom of the storage bin rather than draining through the drain plug. The water may be actively overflowing toward the cabinet edge. View E1 No Cooling / LPIM Motor Fault High The control panel shows E1 and the ice maker has stopped producing. Existing ice in the bin is starting to melt if the cooling subsystem is the root cause. View E2 Damper Cycle Not Completed Medium The control panel shows E2 and production has halted. The harvest mechanism may be visibly stuck mid-travel rather than completing its normal cycle. View E3 Heater Timeout or Thermistor Medium The production cycle reaches the harvest phase and stops with E3 on the display. The ice plate may still be frozen to the mold instead of releasing normally. View E4 Ice Bin Full or Not Present Low The bin has reached its full capacity and the E4 indicator is normal — production pauses until you remove some ice. Once the level drops, production resumes automatically. View E5 Timed Ice Making / Heater Bimetal Medium Recent batches took much longer than normal before the fault appeared — a gradual decline in production rate that eventually exceeded the timeout threshold. View ER Communication Failure Medium The panel shows Er continuously and touch inputs produce no effect. The ice maker cannot be controlled from the front interface. View FL Water Fill Timeout Medium Recent ice production shows abnormally small or hollow cubes, or the mold is visibly empty during inspection — the fill cycle is not delivering enough water before timeout. View HI Interior Temperature High High Ice that was already made is progressively melting and fusing into clumps at the bottom of the storage bin, indicating interior temperature has risen well above freezing. View NO-ICE No Ice Production Medium The ice maker has power, the compressor is running, and the cabinet feels cold — but no ice is being produced or deposited into the bin over a full 24-hour period.
