Meaning
Severity
Common Symptom
F1
Main Control Board Fault
High
The display shows F1 continuously and pressing the Cancel or Off pad has no effect beyond producing a beep — normal cooking operations cannot start.
View
F2
Stuck Keypad Button
Medium
Pressing any pad produces no effect and the display shows F2 continuously, even though the microwave itself appears to have power and the clock is running.
View
F3
Humidity Sensor Fault
Medium
Attempting to start a Sensor Reheat, Sensor Popcorn, or Auto Cook program produces F3 on the display rather than starting the cycle. Manual time-based cooking still works normally.
View
F4
Cavity Temperature Sensor
Medium
Attempting to start a convection bake, roast, or combination cycle produces F4 immediately. Straight microwave cooking remains available on non-combination models.
View
F5
Cooling Fan Fault
High
An active cook cycle shuts down mid-operation and the display shows F5. Food is partially cooked and the turntable stops rotating.
View
F6
Magnetron Fault
High
The cook cycle starts, the turntable rotates, and the fan runs, but food comes out the same temperature it went in because the magnetron is not producing cooking energy.
View
F7
Door Switch Fault
High
Pressing Start produces F7 on the display and no cook cycle begins, even though the door appears to be properly closed and latched.
View
F9
Communication Loss
Medium
The control display has stopped updating and either shows F9 continuously or goes blank and returns intermittently as the serial link drops.
View
PF
Power Failure Notification
Low
The panel shows PF or flashes 12:00 (or equivalent default time) after electricity is restored, indicating the clock memory was lost during the outage.
View
SE
Shorted Keypad Error
High
The display shows SE continuously and no buttons produce any action, including Cancel or Off. The microwave cannot be operated from the panel.
